Job Skills

The job skills i possess that I feel I can use on any job are my communication skills, basic knowledge of computers, multi-tasking, problem solving skills, and teamwork. All of these job skills can benifit any occupation I recieve. In any job you need to be able to communicate, well at that; you deal with customers, your supervisors...etc. Problems always occur in the workplace, so problem solving always comes in handy. Overall you have to be people friendly, which I am. It gets you the job, gets you good with customers, and co workers also.
The skills I need to improve on are being more detail oriented, and being more open. Noticing details helps out alot. You don't miss anything, you're more alert to situations. I also think I need to be more open because in many jobs you deal with people. You need to start conversations, ask questions, and explain products or situations to customers. There are probably a few more skills I could improve on, but these are the ones I feel I should focus on.

Post Secondary

        My plans after high school aren't exactly set in stone. I do however, have a pretty good idea of how I want things to go. After I graduate I plan to work for the summer (hopefully a clerical/office job), get prepared and have all the resources and materials I need for college. As far as the college, I'm hoping to get accepted to Sterling University in Kansas, along with my boyfriend in the fall. I'd like to major in nursing and become a neonatal nurse (newborn nursery rn). After we both graduate I'd like to move back to Austin, preferably Westlake, and pursue my career. In time I'd like to start a small, hopefully growing business that helps and supports starving, homeless children all over the world.

My Job

I am a Caregiver for a four-year-old child in the Shadow Glen Subdivision. My duties are to provide meals, cater to the childs every need, and maintain a clean household. What I like about my job is it's fairly easy, there's no hard physical labor, and the family is very friendly. What I don't like about my job is the waking up early part, on the weekends. Also, sometimes I feel like I need more of a challenge, and need to be provided with more hours.
